Workscope
Mechatronics engineers are active in the installation and maintenance of complex machines, units and systems or as the case may be at the site of the purchaser and operator of the systems. They work according to instruction independently at various locations, primarily at installation sites, in workshops or in the maintenance area. They are often part of a team. They coordinate their work with upstream and downstream departments. In regard to accident prevention regulations, mechatronics engineers are considered electricians.

• Assembly and disassembly of machines, systems and units.
• Checking and setting of functions on mechatronics
• systems
• Commissioning and operation of mechatronics systems
• Handover incl. training at the customer's site
• Maintenance of mechatronics systems

Professional skills

• Planning and control of operational procedure, monitoring and evaluation of work results and the application of quality management systems
• Machining of mechanical parts and assembly of subassemblies and components for mechatronics systems
• Installation of electrical subassemblies and components
• Measurement and checking of amplitude
• Installation and testing of hardware and software components
• Construction and testing of electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic controls
• Programming of mechatronics systems
