Every SHW machine features the expertise which we have gathered in 50 years of manufacturing universal milling heads. The orthogonal head is standard on the PowerSpeed 5. This means you enjoy the many benefits of this head as standard:

• 64,800 different machining positions
• Milling head (A-axis) swivels through 180°, milling head holder (C-axis) swivels by 360° (in degree increments)
• Each position is automatically assumed and calculated in the NC program.
• Friction and form connections ensure that the drive power is fully transferred and utilised in every position.
• Drive power: 26 kW at 100% use
• Pulling force 13 tons
• All power feed goes through the head
• Largest possible diameter of flat gear rings
• Extremely high efficiency as there are only 3 gear pairs installed
